Ashutosh Mahajan is a Chartered Accountant by qualification having recently retired as Head of Finance from the largest Korean multinational in India.

Being a passionate photographer himself for the last more than 15 years, he traded spreadsheets for shutter speeds and launched ‘Ishaa Art Emporium’ as a marketplace to bridge the gap between art collectors and art creators.

Our Story: Art for Every Wall

The idea for Ishaa Art Emporium didn’t start in a boardroom or a high-end gallery. It started with a bare wall and a realization.

I have always believed that the spaces we live in shape the way we feel. A single photograph of a sun-drenched forest or a vibrant Indian cityscape can change the entire energy of a room. However, as I looked to fill my own space, I found a frustrating gap: on one side were mass-produced, soul-less prints from big corporations, and on the other were original pieces with price tags that felt out of reach for most people.

I knew there had to be a middle ground.

India is home to an incredible generation of artists being photographers, painters and other art makers. These emerging creators are capturing the soul of our country—from the intricate feathers of a Himalayan bird to the electric rhythm of our cities—yet many don’t have a platform to reach the homes their work belongs in.

I founded Ishaa Art Emporium to bridge that gap.
